The July contest #2 by sduttaskitchen: Overcome the fear of failure!
Hello steemians, today I will be sharing with you all, my prospective on the term failure management.
Do you consider the management of failure in life to be the most significant challenge individuals encounter? Your Viewpoint! |
|---|
Managing failure is not what I see as the biggest challenge in life. Even though experiencing failure can hurt, it usually is a temporary situation and could be used as the basis for success. Personally, the greatest challenge is how to overcome the invisible problems, such as being depressed, feeling lonely, hopeless, etc. Those can influence the thinking process, relationships with others, motivation and make even simple actions impossible.
There was a moment in my life where I got emotionally exhausted because some disappointment was following one after another. In spite of the fact that I did not fail in something in particular, it became hard for me to be motivated and engaged in what usually I really liked doing. There were days when just getting up from the bed seemed to be an accomplishment. Only afterwards I understood that it was not a struggle against failure but rather against my own emotions. Slowly but surely I started recovering my motivation through communicating with close people, setting small goals, and never isolating myself.
This episode gave me new vision about the challenges of life. It is quite possible to fix the failure by trying once again but sometimes one has to be patient and mentally strong in order to cope with the problems which arise inside him or her. That is why I think now that taking care of one’s mental and emotional state is one of the most important tasks, because healthy mind provides you with energy to deal with everything else.
Do you concur that failure manifests simultaneously in both indoor and outdoor environments? Your Perception! |
|---|
Of course, failure can occur both indoors and outdoors as it does not happen within the boundaries of a certain location. People fail to communicate with their loved ones, develop good habits, and fulfill their duties in the house. But they can also experience failure in school, at work, in business, or even among social relations outside their houses. No matter what environment people live in, failures look identical.
Yet, for me, failure is not about the person but a certain situation when a person fails to succeed in something. Every time a person experiences failure, he or she receives another chance to become a stronger personality by getting more knowledge. There were many people who managed to achieve success after experiencing failure in various spheres of life.
I still recall an occasion from my time at secondary school when my friends and I were participating in a quiz competition between the houses. We were very sure about ourselves since we had been studying for many weeks, but towards the end of the quiz we were nervous and gave wrong answers to many questions. We ended up losing the competition and felt ashamed of ourselves for some time since our peers thought that we would win. Rather than blaming each other, we discussed our mistakes and came to know that it was not a problem of knowledge, but due to our anxiety. This incident showed me that failure can occur anywhere, be it in or out of the classroom, but the important thing is the way we face and bounce back from failure.
How can one effectively manage failure and subsequently overcome it? Please share some recommendations. |

There are a few practices that have worked the best for me every time I am disappointed. They do not help me forget my mistakes or failures instantly, but make it easy for me to cope and come out of them.
Accept the situation and do not blame anything or anyone: The first thing that I do when something does not turn out the way that it should be is accept the situation. Making excuses would only get me into further trouble as acceptance helps me gain control over the situation.
Learn from each of your failures: Whenever there is a failure, I always take the time to reflect on the situation and make note of the following: what took place, what I did well, what I could have done better, and what the main lesson to remember for future reference is. This practice will help me to not repeat the same mistakes in the future. It will also serve as an indicator of how far I've come through the years.
Spend time with people that encourage you in the right way: I have realized that the people that surround me affect my attitude towards failures. Positive encouraging people tend to give constructive criticism as opposed to sympathy. Different people provide various perspectives on the same issue.
Set a new goal straight away, regardless of how insignificant: The process that helps me overcome disappointment and not ruminate about my failure is setting myself a new goal right away. This can involve acquiring a new skill, fixing my weak spot, or retrying the task using a more effective approach. Accomplishing the smallest goal brings back my confidence and gives me hope for the future.
I here by invite @ninapenda, @mainuna, @sahmie, and @ikechukwu77 to participate in this contest.

¡Saludos amiga!🤗
